It is reported that the number of patients complaining of symptoms related to the coronavirus, such as cough and phlegm, is increasing rapidly in Gilju-gun, North Hamgyong Province, North Korea.

According to a Daily NK North Hamgyeong-do source on the 11th, the number of patients suffering from corona-related symptoms in Gilju-gun has risen sharply recently, and more than 20 residents are visiting the military hospital in one day alone.

The symptoms of the patients are different, but among them, it is said that many patients show symptoms of cough, sputum, mild fever, and shortness of breath.

Some residents are complaining of various symptoms, from coughing and sputum to headaches due to mild fever, and it is known that some residents also feel severe pain in the bones.

However, the source said that military hospitals are making a common diagnosis of ‘summer cold’ to patients who visit the hospital with symptoms related to Corona.

In fact, at the beginning of this month, a resident in his 40s in Gilju-gun visited the military people’s hospital with symptoms of Corona, and the doctor said, “There was also a notice from the Ministry of Health that this summer cold shows symptoms similar to corona infection.” said to have been prescribed.

Another Gilju-gun resident, who had a persistent cough and low fever, suspected tuberculosis and went to the hospital, but it is said that the hospital diagnosed it as a mild summer cold.

A source said, “The symptoms of patients are diverse, but the diagnosis is being unified as a summer cold.” It is a fact,” he pointed out.

He said, “It seems that doctors are unifying the common cold because it is difficult for doctors to make a specific diagnosis according to the government’s guidelines.”

On the 5th, North Korean media reported that “there have been no new cases of fever (fever) nationwide for the past week, and all patients during treatment have recovered completely, so the overall quarantine situation in the country has entered a phase of firm stability.”

Since then, North Korea has claimed that the situation of ‘Corona Zero’ continues, saying that there are no patients with fever or receiving treatment.

In the midst of this, Gilju-gun is carrying out propaganda every day that the prevention and disinfection business should be done well as the summer cold is prevalent, the source said.
