A support concert for Ukrainian children and families will take place on the Grand Stage of Mežaparks – Events

Saturday, Mar. 26, at 14.00 A support concert “Help to get up!” Will take place on the Grand Stage of Mežaparks, which will be dedicated to the children and families of Ukrainian refugees. You will be able to attend the event free of charge upon presentation of a Ukrainian passport.

Children are the ones who feel the effects of war the most emotionally, so Ukrainian children need help the most right now. With musical performances and other cohesive activities, we will support and sacrifice, encouraging, strengthening and helping to get up again – physically, emotionally and together.

The event will be hosted by actress Dita Lūriņa and journalist Aivis Ceriņš. The concert will be honored by the President of the Republic of Latvia Egils Levits and his wife, the Chairman of the Riga City Council Mārtiņš Staķis, the Minister of Health Daniels Pavļuts, representatives of the Board of the Children’s Hospital and the families of Ukrainian refugees.

In the concert “Help me get up!” musicians such as Voices and Maria Savenko (UKR), Ance Krauze with children, Sējāni family, Juris Kaukulis with daughter Rūta, Kristīne and Marts Kristiāns Kalniņi, Edgars Kārklis, Anmary, Zigfrīds Muktupāvels, Carnival Youth, Ieva Kerēvica, Emīls Ērglis, Dināra Rudāne, Aija Vītoliņa, Daumants Kalniņš, Ieva Sutugova, Jānis Stībelis, Ainars Mielavs, Atis Zviedris, Māra Upmane-Holstein, Goran Gora, My Radiant You, Miks Dukurs, Jānis Aišpurs, Aija Andrejeva, Ralfs Eilands Salamander, Aminata, chamber choir Notch Planet and Jāzeps Mediņš Riga 1st Music School Boys’ Choir, Julian and MC Orchestra. At the same time, a wall of children’s drawings will be created, so even the smallest supporters are invited to bring their own works of art or create them during the event.

Expressing support for Ukraine, all participants will participate in the concert voluntarily. Thanks to the artist Reinis Pētersons for the illustration of the event and to the creative agency “Nord DDB Rīga” for the development of the visual concept!

Tickets can be purchased “Ticket ParadiseAt the box office and on the Internet. One ticket is a donation of 3 euros, 10 euros or 20 euros, without deducting a commission fee. All proceeds from the tickets will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Fund, which will be used for the psychological support and treatment of Ukrainian children.

The concert is organized by the Riga City Council, the Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Latvian Children’s Oncology Foundation.
