The sunken armored reconnaissance patrol vehicle (BRDM-2) is planned to be raised from the bottom of the Kerch Strait on Sunday, said Sergei Chernakov, a spokesman for the military-technical society interregional public organization. He clarified that the operation will begin only under favorable weather conditions. Now, according to him, stormy weather persists in the region, strong wind is blowing from the direction of Novorossiysk. Various organizations offered their help, Chernakov quotes RIA Novosti.
Earlier it was reported that one of the three armored vehicles sank during the crossing Kerch Strait within the framework of the action “Kerch landing. The road of courage”. Event organizers attributed the incident to non-uniform seabed soil and strong crosswinds. The crew managed to escape, but the car itself sank.
