On November 29 at 7 p.m in the hall of the State Opera – Burgas, the Burgas audience will be filled with: sparkling mood – like sparkling champagne, whirlwind dances, cheerful music from popular works from the operetta treasury, bright artistic presence, dizzying choreography, brilliant soloists, orchestra, choir and ballet in the lavish stage production “Love, Champagne and Can-Can”.
The rich program of the operetta gala includes popular and well-loved works and will fill the Opera House on Friday with beautiful music and charming performers, combined with whirlwind ballet and a festive mood.
The impressive concert performance, presented by the soloists, orchestra, chorus and ballet of the Burgas Opera, will unfold its full brilliance under the baton of the conductor Deyan Pavlov /guest/, which is well known to the Burgas public.
Recently Maestro Pavlov, professor at the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” – Sofia, conducted the operetta gala in the Artium Center – Nessebar to a full house, and before that, in October – The symphony concert that opened the new Season 2024/2025 of the State Opera – Burgas, with guest soloists – distinguished musicians from Japan, after which he was behind the conductor’s desk and at the first concert of the “Bulgarian Basses” series, dedicated to 110 – the anniversary of the birth of world bass player Boris Hristov.
In the rich concert program of “Love, champagne and can-can” the wonderful soloists of the Burgas Opera will show the best of their artistic role: the sopranos Lyudmila Mykhaylova, Maria Tsvetkova-Madjarova, Nona Krastnikova And Shmilena Sultanovathe tenor Yani Nikolovthe baritone Jordan Hristozov and the bass Delyan Slavov. Concertmaster of the orchestra will be Hristo Belchevconductor of the choir – Alexander Chepanov, the choreography of the ballet is by Marina Zmeeva-Markova.

On the stage of the Opera House on November 29, the following will be performed: arias, duets and ensemble from “The Queen of the Czardasha” by Imre Kahlmann, arias, duets and ensemble from “The Merry Widow”, aria from “Judith” from the operetta of the same name by Franz Lehar, arias and ensemble from “The Bat” by Johann Strauss-son , arias from “Countess Maritza” by Imre Kalman, ballet performances from “Orpheus from Hell” by Offenbach, “The Bat” by Strauss-son, songs from the musicals “My Fair Lady” by Frederick Lowe, “Fiddler on the Roof” by Jerry Bock, “Land of Smiles” and more.
Before the concert in Burgas, the operetta gala “Love, champagne and can-can” will also be presented on November 28 at 7 p.m. on the stage of the Youth House – Shumen. During the summer season, the operetta gala was presented with great success on the stages in Vratsa, Pomorie, Sozopol, Balchik and Tsarevo.
