But this has a consequence: an indiscriminate increase in target prices. Everyone wants to do August. Like this, traveling for a week in August will be much more expensive than a year ago. Specifically, the cost of spending a week on vacation already costs an average of 1,464 euros, which represents an increase of 24% compared to 2021 (1,201 euros) and 56% compared to 2020 (1,052 euros).

The online comparator Rastreator has developed a Price ranking of the cheapest and most expensive Spanish cities to spend the summer. Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Seville are ranked, for the second consecutive year, as the cheapest cities to travel this summer. Specifically, Santa Cruz de Tenerife was positioned as the cheapest destination in the ranking, with an average price of 888 euros, 39% less than the national average (1,465 euros), followed by Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (983 euros) and Seville (1,128 euros). On the other hand, Cadiz (€ 1,931), Gijón (€ 1,987) and Palma de Mallorca (€ 2,382) are among the most expensive citieswith prices up to 63% above average.

In relation to the cost of hotels, Santa de Cruz de Tenerife is the city with the cheapest accommodation, with an average price of 344 euros, or about 57 euros per night. For its part, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria tops the list of cities with the cheapest car rental, as hiring a vehicle in that city costs 40% less than the average (422 euros).
