A simple atmosphere but worthy of regional festivals, taking up the tunes that everyone knows. The Ox, always in ambush, appeared at the end of the morning on the forecourt of the Château de Girard.
It is true that he came to greet Carbonne, the local boy who has become a recognized star, thanks in particular to the summer hit Imagine. They were many to attend the ceremony organized by the city of Mèze. Thierry Baëza, the mayor, was proud to present him with the city’s medal, emphasizing: “It was from his family that young Pierrot received his musical education. He learned by listening to his father, by ear and as an autodidact. He also owes a lot to his mother, Martine, who plays the piano. Success has not made him forget his roots in Carbonne. He insisted on creating the cover of his new EP right here, in front of the Château de Girard.”.
Carbonne, for his part, expressed his emotion: “It’s strange to be here. I see a lot of familiar faces. Everything is happening so fast.” The afternoon was devoted to jousting and the evening invited everyone to dance.
