The Lebanese film “Riverbed” directed by Bassem Breish and produced by Gana Wahba won three awards at the Cairo International Film Festival.
The film participated in the “Horizons of Arab Cinema” competition as part of the activities of the 44th session of the festival, and won three major awards: the Salah Abu Seif Award (Special Jury), the best performance by actress Carole Abboud, as well to a special mention in the “Best Arab film” competition. .
The artist, Jahida Wahba, posted the images of the closing ceremony of the festival, through his account on “Instagram”, and commented the victory saying: “Many congratulations to the working group and to Lebanon”.
Actress Carole Abboud also posted a photo of herself on her Instagram account, as she collected the award for the ‘Best Actress’ category for her role in the film, and received many comments praising the well-deserved honour.
