In Niort, the city of mutuals, we think a lot about the insurance of tomorrow. A subsidiary of Maif, Altima has just launched a new concept: all-in-one insurance.
“In insurance we can have two types of use that are opposed. An expectation of tailor-made insurance, à la carte such as insurance per kilometer. But also the expectation of insurance, wider, more covering”, explains Florent Villain, Managing Director of Altima Insurance and Marketing Director at Maif. Hence the idea of a single insurance with car, house, leisure … which is aimed more at families.
What we are looking for is for insurance to be more readable, clearer and more transparent and that we stop asking ourselves the question each time for what we are insured, for what we are not.
“It’s more simplicity, there is only one interlocutor and we guarantee that there are no duplicates”, continues Florent Villain. And it’s more economical “in most cases. Up to 10 to 15% in some cases”.

This all-in-one insurance is an experiment.“When we have ideas like this, a little broken, we prefer to use Altima assurances, an insurance SME with 90 employees to test the idea and validate it with real policyholders”. Either the offer is generalized or it is abandoned. The mutual niortaise has set two years to take stock.
