According to scientists from the United States, a person who has received all the coronavirus vaccines is more likely to die from lightning than from this disease. Scientists have studied the cases of more than 1 million vaccinated adults, writes glasnews.bg.
During the study, American scientists classified the victims of COVID-19 according to risk factors. For example, age over 65, immunosuppression, the presence of diabetes or chronic diseases of the heart, kidneys, lungs, liver, brain and others. As it turned out, no patient over the age of 65 who had been fully vaccinated against coronavirus had suffered from a severe course of the disease.
A total of 36 deaths were reported. Most of them occur in people over the age of 65 and with concomitant diseases, more than four additional risk factors.
The other group included elderly people with one or two chronic diseases. Among them, 8 deaths have been confirmed, despite the fact that the group itself includes more than a million people.
In general, scientists have estimated the chances of a vaccinated person dying from coronavirus. They said the chances of dying in an accident or crash are much higher.
