A study linking a high-protein diet to depression

A new study focused on the nutrition and mental health of young athletes finds an association between higher rates of protein consumption and lower symptoms of depression.

The researchers found that eating more carbohydrates, proteins, and polyunsaturated fatty acids would lead to a decrease in depression symptoms.
