A student hit a housewife and died in Pekan Baru after going home from clubbing

Student Marisa Putri (21) was named as a suspect after she hit a housewife (IRT), Renti (46) in Pekan Baru. It is understood that the suspect had just returned from the club when the incident took place.

Reported detik North Sumatra, the incident happened on Jalan Tuanku Tambusai or Jalan Nangka on Saturday (3/8) at 05.45 WIB. Marisa uses a Toyota Raize car, after returning from the karaoke room at the Furaya Hotel.

“After we filed the case, we named the person who committed the crime with the initials BP as a suspect,” explained Pekanbaru Chief Police Commissioner Jeki Rahmat Mustika at the Police Headquarters , Sunday (4/8/2024).

Jeki revealed that two friends called Marisa with the initials T and O for karaoke at KTV Sago Hotel Furaya. At that time Marisa came alone to the club.

“After that, the victim went to Sago. When he got there, the victim was given medicines such as ecstasy pills and alcohol until dawn. At around 05.00 WIB the victim went home and drove the car under the influence of alcohol and drugs,” Jeki said.

While driving a car on Jalan Tuanku Tambusai Pekanbaru, from the same direction, the Pekanbaru University Abdurab student crashed into a Yamaha Vega ZR motorcycle. The motorcycle was driven by Renti (46).

“At that time the perpetrator hit the back of the victim’s motorcycle and was dragged 50 meters. As a result, the victim died at the scene due to severe head injuries,” said Jeki.
