A strong storm bids farewell to August in Vitoria

Álava said goodbye to August with a storm. Rain was forecast and it came true, as in previous days. This Saturday afternoon was an afternoon with heavy rainfall throughout the territory, from 5:00 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. Storms that caught some by surprise.

The Abetxuko station collected more than 14 l/m2 and Arkaute 15 l/m2, while in Subijana and Gojain they exceeded 20 l/m2.

The rain also came with a gale, with gusts of 89 km/h recorded in Vitoria-Gasteiz, 91 km/h in Nanclares and 85 km/h in Zaldiaran. In several areas, bar terraces and other elements were blown away by the wind.

Northerly winds from the morning onwards and maximum temperatures 2 or 3 degrees lower.
