For several months now, Chelsea recruits a lot, but sells little and this was still the case this summer with the arrivals of Penders, Felix, Neto, Jorgensen, Veiga and Sancho.
The Blues’ squad at one time consisted of more than fifty players, which did not suit coach Enzo Maresca at all.
Several players managed to be loaned to the club before the transfer window closed, such as Chalobah, Broja, Sterling, and the Londoners would still try to send a few players to less exposed championships.
Moreover, the attacker David Datro Fofana should be the next to pack his bags since he is said to be in negotiations with AEK Athensas the Italian journalist pointed out Fabrizio Romano.
Only the details remain to be ironed out in the deal, which includes a non-binding £20m purchase option.
This is his third loan since his arrival in January 2023 after Union Berlin and Burnley.

It also includes a buy option clause for £20m not mandatory, up to AEK in June 2025 to decide about it.

Should Fofana favour a transfer over loans?
