A strange virus has spread in a terrifying way in Egypt, which has caused great concern and fear after infecting many citizens and children, especially in schools, which prompted the Ministry of Education to warn and advise parents to comply and take proper precautions.

The ministry revealed that there is coordination with the Ministry of Health regarding the examination of students, isolation and monitoring within the classrooms, noting that when symptoms appear for any student, his or her family is notified and kept at home until fully recovered.
The ministry has called on schools to disinfect classrooms and force students to wear masks to prevent the virus.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Awad Taj El-Din, adviser to the president on health and prevention, revealed that the virus falls under a group of respiratory viruses, which is a very large group of around 20-30 species, which Al Arabiya.net adds that respiratory viruses lead to symptoms similar to those of the flu virus.
He said the symptoms of virus infection include a rise in temperature, chest tightness, cough, inflammation and sore throat, adding that it is an old virus and not an epidemic, and has no serious complications, and it is treated like the flu.
In a related context, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health, said that curing the virus starts with the use of antipyretic drugs and the intake of warm liquids, alerting citizens when children catch colds, influenza or respiratory syncytial virus not to use antibiotics except by consulting a specialist doctor.
