At the Musikverein Hauingen annual concert conducted by Igor Guitbout, children and active people showed what they can do.

. With its annual concert in the crowded festival hall, the Musikverein Hauingen offered a musical listening pleasure that fulfilled all woodwind music wishes. Hauinger Musik Kids (HaMuKis), like the active orchestra, had prepared intensely for the big event under the direction of conductor Igor Guitbout and offered excellent brass music.

HaMuKi kicked off the musical with several brass pieces. They received great applause for their musical performance. They showed that in the conductor Igor Guitbout they have an excellent instructor who will introduce them to the instrument, sheet music and music of brass bands.

The active orchestra opened its musical tour with “The Washington Post”, a concert march by Philip Sousa, performed with great verve. Following, the musical event of the evening: Peer Gynt Suite n. 1 by Edvard Grieg, which required a lot of the musicians and the conductor. This highlight of the evening received a long applause.

With Josef Alberto Pina’s monumental “The Legend Of Maracaibo”, just bursting with energy, further high-class accents were set. The second part of the concert opened with the popular march “Empress Sissi” by Timo Dellweg, followed by the musical ballad “Romantic Mood” by Michael Geissler. President Holger Gertz shone as a soloist with the tenor horn.

The music of the 50s and 60s brought “Frank Sinatra Hits Medley” and this part made the hearts of many in the audience beat faster. The evening continued with Michael Jackson’s “Heal The World” and the cozy “Bohemian Tequila”. The “Hauinger Lied” as an encore of an arrangement by Rolf Troendlin ensured a successful conclusion. The audience enthusiastically sang on the melody.

At the award ceremony, the young musician Eileen Göttle received the bronze badge. Markus Wechlin, who has supported the association for over 40 years, was made an honorary member. There was a special honor for Michael Glunkin: he received the great gold badge of honor from the Bund Deutscher Blasmusikverbindungen for 50 years as an active brass band musician.
