A store dedicated to David Bovie opens in London

A pop-up shop dedicated to the artist has been opened in London in honor of the upcoming 75th anniversary of rock chameleon David Bowie. It is located in the Jaffer district, near the scene where the photos for the legendary 1972 album “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars” were taken.

The store sells a limited number of records, various souvenirs, photos and installations related to David Bowie. The store will be open until the beginning of 2022, when Bovija’s anniversary will also be celebrated. The store is part of the artist’s 75th anniversary celebrations, which will take place throughout 2022 with various events.

One of the first visitors to the store was producer Nils Rogers, who also worked on one of Bovie’s most commercially successful albums, “Let’s Dance”. He expressed his admiration for it and pointed out that there were things in its assortment that even he did not have.

According to the BBC, Rogers has also acknowledged that working with David Bowie has been the best working relationship he has ever had.

A similar store has opened in the Soho district of New York these days, near where Bovie spent the last years of his life creating his latest album, Blackstar.

David Bovie’s 75th birthday will be on January 8, 2022. The day before, the album “Toy” will be released, which has not been officially released so far. It was recorded in 2001, leaked online in 2011, and will now be officially released in 2022.

It has already been reported that David Bowie passed away on January 10, 2016, a few days after its 69th anniversary.
