Most vaccines require several doses, but with the use of a type of microparticle it could be achieved that a single puncture would contain the necessary doses and they would be released when appropriate.
A team led by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have developed such microparticles that can be adjusted to deliver their payload at different times, according to a study published in Science Advances.
