/ world today news/ We will wait to hear the new proposals, answered Hristo Ivanov cautiously. Manolova: Well done! This is a step in the right direction
The door for coalition negotiations with the rest of the “protest parties” in the new parliament was unexpectedly opened by Slavi Trifonov exactly four days after he announced that he had no intention of doing so. On Monday, the leader of “There is such a people” in a TV statement proposed a minority government headed by Nikolay Vasilev, and on Thursday he withdrew his candidacy.
The way in which he announced his cabinet was defined as dictatorship and blackmail by the only partners named by ITN as “authorized” so far – “Democratic Bulgaria” and “Stand Up! Get out!”. According to their leaders, the government and priorities should first be discussed with them, so they refused support. And politicians and analysts began to look for a date for the third parliamentary elections in a row in October.
The co-chair of “Stand Up! Get out!” Maya Manolova, on the other hand, saw a way out of the situation – for the third mandate-holder to propose the entire cabinet as regular. Vice President Iliana Yotova called the idea too exotic.
Since the beginning of the week, an ill-mannered dispute between supporters and members of “Democratic Bulgaria” and the deputy head of ITN Toshko Yordanov has been swirling in social networks. The tone was set by the leader of “Yes, Bulgaria” Hristo Ivanov, who announced to bTV that the proposed cabinet is either a very serious loss of reality, or it is a regular in the barns. Toshko Yordanov advised him via Twitter to think when he speaks, if he thinks at all. This drew fierce attacks from both sides.
In fact, Trifonov’s idea to withdraw Vassilev’s candidacy and agree on a more acceptable one, at least with the protest parties, was publicly articulated by former Prime Minister Ivan Kostov.
DB approached Trifonov’s new announcement cautiously. “We will wait to hear the new proposals”, was the comment of the co-chairman of the coalition Hristo Ivanov to the public radio.
Enough
more excited
was Manolova
She wrote on Facebook: “Well done to Slavi Trifonov and ITN. This is a step in the right direction towards achieving a consensus of the parties of change for common action.”
“The day after the election, I proposed a project cabinet composed only of highly educated professionals and with clear priorities. For Prime Minister, I proposed the economist Nikolay Vasilev, a person with experience in politics, in state administration and in real business. Just for three days
on it
poured out huge
slop”,
Trifonov wrote on Facebook. According to him, it turned out that “it doesn’t matter how educated the candidate ministers are, how good specialists they are, how clear their priorities are.” And instead, Vassilev was appointed by the media and politicians “as a conductor of the DPS – a statement that has nothing to do with the truth.”
“However, I understand that
the country does not

and new elections
It is not so important to me what lies some of the non-status quo parties have told. For me, it is much more important to “remove” the GERB model from the public and political life of the country. Because this is the main enemy of statehood and democracy. I get it, unlike some others. Therefore, I decided to withdraw the candidacy of a worthy person like Nikolay Vasilev, because no one is more important than the problems before us as a society”, he wrote.
Trifonov promised that his party would soon propose a new prime minister with a revised composition of the Council of Ministers. Already today, part of the management of ITN and Vasilev will give a press conference in BTA.
Vassilev himself explained on Wednesday to “24 Chasa” that he has never been more prepared for the post and hopes for support.
With his resignation as prime minister, however, he is expected in the new cabinet
to enter
and ministers of
official
government The posts of eco-minister and one for European funds, which were missing in the final list, were actually offered to the current acting finance minister Asen Vasilev and to the economic minister Kiril Petkov.
Petkov said that they refused the posts because of a disagreement on fiscal and economic policy with Vasilev, with whom the talks were held, not with the party.
“The big question is whether a working parliamentary majority will be formed,” commented political scientist Prof. Rumyana Kolarova. According to her, the next prime minister should be “a person with the profile of Ognyan Gerdzhikov – with a high professional status, with management experience”. “It is also important that he is a public figure. Have a good reputation. When prime ministers are nominated, they must be mature enough”, she was categorical.
GERB: The first cabinet to resign before being elected
“The more seriously and responsibly this government was presented, the more responsible and seriously it was removed. This is the first government in history to resign before being elected.”
This official comment was made by the hitherto ruling GERB party after Slavi Trifonov’s statement on Facebook that he was withdrawing his candidacy for the government of “There is such a people” with Prime Minister Nikolay Vasilev.
Toma Bykov also made the same comment as the party official on Facebook.
Radan Kanev: Reasonably, the offer was a bluff Second Borisov, but Khadzhigenov countered
The main potential partner – “Democratic Bulgaria” remained laconic in anticipation of more clarity about ITN’s intentions. The tone between DB and Slavi’s people has escalated strongly on social networks these days.
The MEP from Radan Kanev turned out to be far more thorough than the Sofia leaders. “The decision of Slavi T. Trifonov to withdraw his bluff offer for a cabinet position is undoubtedly reasonable. Also

But it would be really responsible to start negotiations (not bargaining) about the policies (not portions) that would restore confidence in institutions and political forces. To show a way out of the crisis of the rule of law, to overcome the health crisis, to restore the economy, to accelerated modernization, to the new EU climate policies”, he commented on Facebook. Kanev warns against having any illusions that the negotiations will be easy, nor necessarily successful. But “governance is not a function of first place in the elections, but of finding a sufficiently broad national agreement on the form and program of the government,” he wrote.
Nikolay Khadzhigenov was far sharper than the poisonous trio. “The behavior of Slavi Trifonov is more and more reminiscent of that of Boyko Borisov. If you want to be a serious politician, you don’t act this way,” he said.
“There will be a new 20 that is like the old 20! Now the leader is angry with us – he has assembled such a wonderful cabinet for us, and we don’t want him! Unfortunately, the similarities with Borisov’s political behavior are becoming more and more visible. And one more thing – it’s always someone else’s fault. We already had one dictator, we will not allow a second one,” said the MP from “Stand Up! Get out!”.
“The situation
it’s manual!
*For those who don’t need to know – handrail is a dance in 7/8.” This was the brief comment of DPS publicist and former MP Velislava Krasteva on her personal Facebook profile.
