A spring break in New York without tourists

Spring break was an opportunity for many tourists to travel to the New York side until last year. With the pandemic it is quite the opposite.

In an interview with Paul Houde on Sunday morning, Richard Châteauvert explains that the closure of the borders greatly complicates the tourist capacity of the New York region.

In addition, a variant of Covid-19 from New York has been detected since November and it currently represents 12% of cases in the region. This variant of the virus would also be worrying in the eyes of the State Public Health.

Richard Châteauvert explains that the vaccination is still going smoothly south of the border while he himself will get his second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and he points out that everything is positive for those in the United States who have already been been vaccinated.

Senator Andrew Cuomo in hot water

He also addresses accusations of sexual harassment against Senator Andrew Cuomo that surfaced this week. Our columnist explains that Cuomo is what is called a micromanager and that he is heavily criticized for his handling of the pandemic.

Will he seek a fourth term? The question arises more and more.
