Johnny de Mol (45) does not have to report to Ibiza because of the publication of his girlfriend Shima Kaes. Although the Spanish law firm Shima previously confirmed to ‘AD’ that the presenter must report to the Spanish island on December 9 for questioning about the case, Johnny’s lawyer tells RTL Boulevard that the Spanish authorities do not believe that this is necessary.
“We hope the Spanish case will be dismissed afterwards”
Wout Morra, Johnny de Mol’s lawyer, reports that he will be heard online. “We hope that the Spanish case will be dismissed afterwards,” the lawyer said.
Earlier this year, the case was dismissed in the Netherlands, but as one of the incidents is said to have taken place in Ibiza, the case has not yet been closed to the Spanish justice system. According to court documents, Johnny was supposed to appear on the island at the end of November, but since his Spanish lawyer cannot attend, the court hearing has been postponed until December 9. Johnny himself will not be present in court.
The case between the two former lovers has been going on for years. According to Shima, the presenter abused her several times during their relationship. The two divorced nine years ago after getting engaged. Johnny previously said that their relationship could be ‘tempestuous’ at times, but there were no crimes during their relationship.
