South African coach Pitso Mosimane, coach of Al-Ahly club, determined the fate of the goalkeepers in the team, stressing that he does not wish to consolidate this position during the current summer transfer period, according to a responsible source in Al-Ahly.
A source at Al-Ahly said in statements to Laila Kora that Musimani had not originally proposed the idea of hiring a new goalkeeper, and believes that Mohamed El-Shenawi, Ali Lotfi and Mustafa Schubert are able to perform the task without any problems.
The source added: “The coach is convinced of the three guards, and therefore the club management has closed the door to any club that wants to include Mustafa Schubert or Ali Lotfi in particular, and they were informed to continue with the Al-Ahly club.”
It is reported that Mohamed Bassam, the goalkeeper of Talaia Al-Jaish, was associated with his move to Al-Ahly this summer, and stated through the media that Al-Ahly club had sought the opinion to sign him without making official offers to his club.
