To save on bills, a home mini-wind system could be installed on balconies, but also in gardens and terraces.
Many are starting to think about saving on bills by considering both photovoltaic panels and wind turbine systems. Thus starting to think about sustainable energy. For example, instead of solar panels, the new saving trick is the photovoltaic pergola.
Come already mentioned in reference to the mini-wind and solar panelsin the absence of space, it is possible to install a small domestic wind system to limit the increases in electricity and gas.
Home mini-wind: a solution to save on bills, but is it really worth it?
At least at the beginning, the mini-wind plant is certainly not an economic solution. And of course it alone will not be able to generate enough energy to “maintain” a housing unit. The costs are between 1.00 and 2.000 euros for the classic horizontal blades. The production will be of maximum 3kW to which the costs of installation and maintenance will be added.
Obviously the choice depends on the type of house, so if it is autonomous or if it is in a condominium. In fact, for example, if it is an apartment inserted in a condominium without outdoor space, you could choose a type of system called vertical axis. This has lower costs, around 200 euros, but also a lower energy production, around 0.5 kW.
Is it really worth it?
It is useful to remember that installing a home mini-wind system is a deductible expense which however depends on the energy produced that we are guaranteeing, the so-called self-consumption. For this reason it is important that the system operates as efficiently as possible.
So you could consider a mini-wind system relying on expert personnel and consider it only if there are open spaces that guarantee a fair amount of wind useful for obtaining electricity. One solution could be to visit the Aeolian Atlas of Italy site where on an interactive geographical map the colors indicate the average wind speed.
