Marlène Brouwers, Hélène Mathevet and Chloé Dierkens, a trio of cousins, including two sisters, from the same Vancapernolle family, very concerned by breast cancer because several members of their family have been affected, have just created the association “les Vents Cap” to participate in the “Rose trip Maroc” a solidarity and nomadic trek for female trios which will take place from October 31 to November 5, 2024 in the Moroccan desert.
Marlène, Hélène and Chloé love challenges and have decided to mobilize to breathe new life, to define a new course, in order to rewrite the end of this genetically programmed story. “A mobilization between women, for all women, not afterwards. Solidarity, Mutual aid, Act, Surpass oneself”, these are words that resonate with us explains Hélène Mathevet.
For five days including three days of stages, they will live a unique, trying and moving experience because the Rose trip Morocco is a trek in desert and wild spaces, with a daily distance to cover of 20 km by star ( departure and arrival at the same bivouac powered by solar power) in sand and rocky plateaus and a temperature of 30 C° during the day, 10-12 C° at night. During the stages they will meet children of the desert, via the association “Children of the Desert“, and on the last day all the participants in the Rose Trip Morocco will jointly climb one of the highest dunes. desert and will make a giant pink ribbon.
Beyond the sporting challenge, the event has a solidarity aim and carries three causes, the fight and prevention against breast cancer with the Ruban Rose association, access to education for southern Moroccan children with the Children of the Desert association and cleaning up the desert.
They have already received the support of numerous partners: the city of Vaison, the Vaison Ventoux Lions club, Intersport, the Foulée Romaine, the Montfort bookstore, the photographer Victor Saez, the small Boulard boutique, the Nu-Fit company.
