Vases, clothes, books… There’s something for everyone under the barnum of the Tourisclubhandicœur association in the heart of Quai Henri-IV in Dieppe (Seine-Maritime).
Offer activities to people with disabilities
This association, which operates in the region of Dieppe for 33 years, has given itself the mission of brightening the daily lives of people with disabilities by offering them activities and tourist visits.
To do this, it collects objects of all kinds through donations. She stores them in her local Etran, then resells them at a reduced price. The opportunity to do good business for a good cause.
Tourisclubhandicœur is organized around a team of around thirty volunteers and a network of partner companies, in particular restaurant owners who prepare meals during outings organized by the association.
The City of Dieppe lent a hand to the organization’s volunteers by giving them authorization to sell on the Henri-IV wharf, and by offering logistical assistance in setting up the barnum.
Another sale planned
Another sale will take place from August 11 to 15 at the same location. And it is not ready to stop. “As long as there are arms, we will continue” concludes Patrick, one of the association’s leaders, present on the scene.
