Many passengers have had to cancel their trips and had to wait several hours in aircraft lounges after the British city of Manchester airport closed both runways this morning due to snowfall, BTA reported.
A number of travelers have complained on Twitter that unforeseen circumstances have left them stranded on planes for hours, only to have to return to the airport to catch a later flight. Eventually, many flights were canceled and passengers had to wait and queue for a refund.
