A small electric car with a decent range and a great price is heading to the Czech Republic. And no, it’s not from China – Garáž.cz

Small enough to fit in the city, for reasonable money and with a decent range. That’s how respondents often respond to the question about the ideal electric car that could possibly fit into their barracks. For the most part, their requirements will be met by the new Hyundai brand, which will arrive on the Czech market at the end of next year. Although she hasn’t officially introduced herself yet, we know a lot about her.

How is it possible? The Korean automaker has already launched the car on the domestic market, albeit only with an internal combustion engine. It’s called the Hyundai Casper, it’s a laughable 3.6 meters long, yet its trunk can hold up to 301 liters of luggage. By the way, the rear bench can be moved by up to sixteen centimeters, you can also completely fold both front seats and relax in the electric seat.

It is not yet clear whether the car will arrive as a Casper or if it will be renamed on the way to Europe. However, the domestic representative of the brand has confirmed its arrival in the last quarter of next year, as well as the fact that you will be able to buy it online.

The customer has a choice of two batteries, while the smaller one is sufficient for a range of at least 300 kilometers. In addition to the personal version, the Korean market also offers a commercial version with two seats and storage space. This variant for Europe has not yet been confirmed, but it would be an interesting competition for the Dacia Spring Cargo. The pizza delivery people are surely pricking up their ears…

And the price? It should fit under the threshold of 22,000 euros, which is equivalent to 535,000 CZK today. It would thus be one of the most affordable electric cars on the Czech market, which at the same time has a decent range on a single charge. There will be many more small electric toys in the coming years, but none have yet promised such a low price.
