a slight decline in blood collections in 2022

In his moral report, the president of the ADSB of Saint-Pierre, Pascal Sellier-Marlin, highlighted the need for blood donor associations and collection teams to work in good cohesion with the municipalities that receive collections. On this subject, a tripartite agreement between the French Blood Establishment (EFS), the French Federation for Voluntary Blood Donation (FFDSB) and the Association of French Mayors (AMF) was being deployed in the department, in particular in Saintes which has just signed it on February 20.

112 pockets

After an almost linear progression since its creation, the Saint-Pierroise ADSB marks for the first time in 2022, a very slight decline in pockets collected. The Christmas operation shared with the four ADSBs in Oléron is struggling to collect 112 pockets in December. “The dome may be reached,” notes Christophe Sueur, mayor of Saint-Pierre. The latter wishes to authorize on its territory the use of all communication tools for the promotion of collections and to make municipal halls available to it, depending on the progress of municipal renovation work.

The meeting was also an opportunity to award diplomas to deserving donors, with a special mention for the mayor of Saint-Pierre as well as two municipal officials: Danièle Pain, who received a 5th level women’s diploma with a gold badge, and Francisco Vidal a level 6 male diploma, authorizing the wearing of the gold badge with palm. At the end of the session, the officials present from UDF-ADSB 17 presented the cross of Officer of Blood Merit to Marie-Thé Fournier, president of the ADSB of Dolus.
