Data showed on Friday that the inflation rate in the European Union and the Eurozone recorded a slight decline in November, year on year.
Data released by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) showed that the annual rate of inflation in the euro area reached 10.1% in November, compared to 10.6% in October and 4.9% in same period last year.
He added that the annual rate of inflation in the European Union was 11.1% in November, compared to 11.5% in October and 5.2% in the same period last year.
It indicated that compared with October, annual inflation decreased in 16 European Union member states, while it remained stable in three countries and increased in eight countries.
He also pointed out that the energy sector was the largest contributor to the annual inflation rate in the euro area during November.
