About three hundred people were trapped on the roof of a skyscraper. Eight people were affected by the smoke.
In Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay, on Wednesday, December 15, the 38-story World Trade Center building caught fire, 300 people were blocked on the roof. It is reported by South China Morning Post.
The fire broke out in the electrical room on the lower floor of the mall and spread to the scaffolding.
About 300 people ended up on the roof of a skyscraper. Eight people were injured. One man and six women, aged 31 to 72, were taken to the hospital.
A mobile point of assistance to the victims was deployed at the site of the fire.
Extinguishing the fire is complicated by the renovation work carried out in the building. The shops on the third floor were closed, with some escalators working in one direction only.
