/ world today news/ On the eve of Xi Jinping’s visit to France, a Sino-French cultural exchange forum was held in Paris yesterday, jointly organized by the China Public Diplomacy Association, the China Media Group and the Chinese Embassy in the country.
Representatives from the two governments, friendship associations, scientific institutions and media discussed issues of bilateral relations, cultural exchange and media cooperation.
In a video speech, China Media Group Director Shen Haixun pointed out that both China and France are countries with impressive cultures that have left their own mark on human history. The Chinese media group has come up with a number of programs and organized large-scale events to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and will send a team of more than 2,000 people to cover the upcoming Paris Olympics, he said.
