A shocking morning.. The death of the French legend, who had the best scoring record in the World Cup

The football world woke up to shocking news, the death of French legend Just Fontaine, at the age of 89.

Fontaine is the owner of the best scoring record in one edition of the World Cup, as he scored 13 goals in the 1958 edition, and until now no one has been able to break this record.

Not many people know that Fontaine was born in Morocco and started his career in the Moroccan league, before traveling to France and shining with Nimes and then Reims.

Within a few months, two World Cup icons died. After the departure of the legend Pele at the end of 2022, Fontaine passed away at the age of 89.
