Traffic on the main road Sofia – Varna near Targovishte is temporarily restricted. The reason is a road accident with a truck transporting live pigs, the spokesperson of the OD of the Ministry of Interior in Targovishte Ani Krasteva told BTA.
A detour route is provided.
According to preliminary information, the signal for the accident in the “Boaza” pass was given in the early afternoon.
The driver of a MAN truck traveling in the direction of Varna, on a left turn, lost control of the steering and the truck overturned.
The driver was examined at the Regional Hospital in Targovishte, after which he was released for home treatment. No other people were injured.
Serious material damage was inflicted. According to initial data, there are animals that fell into the gorge.
An inspection of the scene is being carried out. The truck was towed. A detour route is provided for the passage of cars.
The traffic is regulated by Traffic Police teams.
