Amazon Prime Video is preparing a series on the famous French boy band. Filming of the fiction will begin next November. It will look back on the destiny of the group, marked by the death of Filip Nikolic at the age of 35.

They were all the rage at the end of the 1990s. Amazon Prime Video is preparing a series on 2Be3, the most famous French boy band. The platform, which presented its new features this Wednesday, September 25, confided that the filming of Worship – 2Be3 will begin in early November. On the casting side, Antoine Simony will play Filip Nikolic, Marin Judas will be Frank Delay and Namory Bakayoko will lend his features to Adel Kachermi.

This is the variation of a first series expected on October 18 on the platform and devoted to another popular phenomenon: the reality TV show “Loft Story”. Initially conceived as a single series, the latter gave Prime Video the idea of ​​a “collection”explained Thomas Dubois, director of original content, during the press conference. This collection wants “to bring to light” ordinary people who experienced sudden fame and “shaped today’s society”.

A group that has become cult

It must be said that the 2Be3 truly marked an era. Formed in 1996 and composed of three childhood friends from Longjumeau (Essonne), Filip Nikolic, Adel Kachermi and Frank Delay, the group has sold five million records. Inspired by Anglo-Saxon boy bands like Take That or Worlds Apart, 2Be3 enjoyed immense success with the hits “Partir un jour”, “Donne”, “Toujours là pour toi”.

While they were at the height of their fame, they decided to separate in 2001 to devote themselves to solo projects. If Adel Kachermi has chosen to return to the shadows to retrain in luxury events for companies, Frank Delay and Filip Nikolic are launching into comedy. But the latter died in 2009 from an overdose of sleeping pills when he was barely 35 years old.
