The progress of law enforcement in this sexual harassment case did not go smoothly.

Run away

The police named EF as a suspect in three suspected cases, namely extortion, fraud and sexual harassment on September 22 or five days after the case surfaced on social media.

The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police summoned the suspect to be questioned, but when the summons were made, the suspect was not there.

Confused victim with fake rapid test results

After being successfully secured and questioned, new facts were revealed by the police.

Including how the EF suspect tricked his victim into committing his crime.

As is known, the suspect is a health worker in charge of serving rapid tests at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

LHI victims are customers who want to do a rapid test for flight requirements at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

LHI also believes in results rapid testis disabled.

However, the suspect hid the results and told LHI that the results were reactive and must do the rapid test results again.

“So that two rapid tests were carried out on the victim, (the results) were both reactive,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Yusri Yunus, Monday (9/28/2020).

Because the results are still reactive, EF also offers to change the results from reactive to non-reactive for a fee.

The event was designated as an act of fraud and extortion under Article 372 and Article 368 of the Criminal Law Law (KUHP).

Not satisfied with getting Rp. 1.4 million, EF launched an act of sexual harassment against the victim who was also recorded on CCTV at Soekarno-Hatta airport who was subject to article 294 of the Criminal Code concerning sexual immorality.

Confessing for the first time

Yusri Yunus also said that the suspect of sexual harassment at Soekarno-Hatta Airport with the initials EF admitted that he had committed the act for the first time.

He explained that EF did this because the economic motive was to get the victim’s money by deceiving the victim.

“According to his confession only once,” he said.

Yusri said the police had also checked the CCTV footage since the suspect was on duty at Soekarno-Hatta Airport as a medical officer for rapid test services for the past three months.

“We have also checked with the airport to withdraw (see CCTV) for three months while he is there,” he said.

The results of the CCTV examination showed that it was true that the perpetrator committed fraud, extortion and sexual harassment for the first time at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

However, continued Yusri, the police will further investigate the case.

Yusri also asked if there were still victims of the suspect’s actions, he was expected to immediately report to the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police.

“Immediately report to Soetta Airport Police, we will follow up,” said Yusri.

Use the proceeds of crime to escape and send it to the mother

“Used to send to his mother for daily use,” said Yusri.

The suspect fled and was found by the Garuda Criminal Investigation Team at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police on September 25, 2020 in Balige sub-district, North Sumatra.

The suspect EF was then charged with three articles at once, namely article 368 of the Criminal Code concerning extortion, Article 372 of the Criminal Code on fraud and Article 294 concerning sexual immorality with the threat of a sentence of 9 years in prison.
