The Faculty of Archeology and Languages at Matrouh University organized a symposium entitled “Positive Mental Health for University Students,” which discussed the importance of individual mental health, mental health curricula, mental illnesses and sick behavior, and the difference between psychotic illnesses and neurotic illnesses..
Dr. Shadi Abu Al-Saud, Assistant Professor of Mental Health at the College of Education, spoke during the symposium about how to enjoy good mental health, where he explained that one must stay away as much as possible from people who give off negative energy, not select one person to be a source of happiness, adherence to religious and moral values, and balance. Emotional, the individual’s satisfaction with and acceptance of himself, self-regulation and taking responsibility, in addition to setting life goals and trying to reach them, and the ability to confront frustration.
Dr. Mustafa El-Naggar, President of Matrouh University, confirmed: During the symposium, the university was keen to organize educational and awareness-raising seminars for students, in cooperation with specialists and experts from various relevant bodies and agencies, with the aim of increasing students’ awareness and preparing a generation capable of facing the challenges of the future, wishing everyone continued progress and advancement. .
