In the regions least affected for the moment by the new Covid-19 coronavirus, we are trying to anticipate as much as possible a probable influx of patients. This is the case in Limoges: a center dedicated to the reception of patients is ready to deal with an influx of patients in general practitioners and the Samu, explains France 3 New Aquitaine.
The location of this center is kept secret : it will only be revealed if it has to open, in order to avoid an influx of patients. It is operational, says France 3, “fitted out with a waiting room and two medical offices, as well as all the necessary equipment.” It will be run by eleven retired volunteer doctors. The center is always looking for other volunteers.
The logistics will be partly assumed by the Red Cross. Telephone and administrative hotlines will be provided by agents of the Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM). This project is also supported by the Council of the Order of Physicians of Haute-Vienne, the Samu, the town hall of Limoges and the Regional Health Agency.
