Friday: Start of the day: It will start dry with some high clouds in the sky. Temperatures: The maximum temperatures will be similar to those on Thursday, that is, there will not be major changes. Temperatures will remain in the 60-degree range. Friday night into Saturday: Cold front: A second cold front is expected to arrive overnight. This front is coming from a low pressure system that is moving north toward British Columbia. Rainfall: Rainfall is expected in the region, with totals ranging from a quarter of an inch to a half-inch in the Bay Area, and up to three-quarters of an inch in the northern mountains. In some interior areas, it could fall between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. Thunderstorms: There is a small chance (less than 15%) of thunderstorms forming, starting from the north and moving south throughout the night. Saturday: Showers and Thunderstorms: Showers and chances of thunderstorms should taper off toward the end of the night. Sunday and next week: Cool mornings: Mornings will continue to be cool. Dry conditions trend: Starting Sunday, conditions are expected to become drier and warmer thanks to a system moving through the mountains and high pressure building from the Pacific. Winds: There will be an increase in gusty winds, which may increase the risk of fires in the region. Weather models: There are some discrepancies in the models on how conditions will behave next week. Although most days are expected to be warmer than usual, some models suggest there could be a low pressure system affecting the region.
