A disturbance was caused shortly after 19:00 at the building of the Ministry of Civil Protection, which has been occupied by seasonal firefighters in the last few hours. The seasonal fireman was asking for the MAT to leave and for Minister Vassilis Kikilias to come.
Seasonal firefighters are protesting the non-renewal of their contracts and are asking to be hired to fill some of the 4,000 vacancies they say exist in the Fire Department.
Early on, the seasonal workers said they would remain at the ministry until tomorrow if their demands were not met, while some also set up counter-tents to spend the night.
