Eventually the meeting was interrupted. The organizers decided to postpone them to the next day. The players from Novara and Busto Arsizio were given ten hours to prepare for games. This time in the hall. – When we got to the hall at 10, the organizers were not ready yet, they were just laying the dance floor. It only made our pissed off. In the end, we started with a half-hour delay – said Smarzek-Godek. Her club lost and Busto Arsizio entered the final, where they lost to Imoco Volley Conegliano in three sets. Therefore, another Polish volleyball player won the Super Cup – the quarterback Conegliano, Joanna Wołosz.
Smarzek-Godek: “It’s a scandal for me”
– What happened is a scandal for me. How are we supposed to talk about equal chances, about fair play, when Conegliano finished his semi-final on Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and could rest peacefully, and Busto had to finish the match with us on Sunday after a crazy night on Sunday, and then play the final? I don’t recall the scandalous treatment of teams in such an important tournament. This is not some wild team tournament, but a Super Cup Italian. It cannot be like that – indicated Smarzek-Godek.
Now her club has a little less than two weeks to prepare for the Italian start A league. The first league matches are scheduled for the weekend of September 18-20. Novara will start the competition with the former Smarzek-Godek club – Zanetti Bergamo. The match will take place on September 27.
