Golden tides rippling across the surface of the Earth. A sandstorm was immortalized from space by an American astronaut who is currently on the International Space Station.
–
An American astronaut took from the International Space Station (ISS) a photo of a sandstorm that arose in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Douglas Hurley was on the ISS with two American colleagues and two Russian cosmonauts when he published this striking photograph on Twitter.
Through several comments, Internet users unanimously described the astronaut’s work as remarkable.
According to them, this image from space shows in particular the cloud of dust that appeared in the Sahara, which crossed the Atlantic and found itself in the south of the United States and in Mexico. Witnesses of this natural phenomenon have shared images that show a reduction in visibility on the roads and sunsets of rare beauty.
The astronaut is in the habit of publishing photos taken from space that reflect natural phenomena. Douglas Hurley had previously shown what a whirlwind looks like in the Pacific Ocean.
