A sample of a 64-core AMD EPYC 7763 with Zen 3 architecture was shown

Company AMD has already introduced the new Ryzeny 5000 with the Zen 3 architecture, to which the EPYC server processors (codenamed Milan) are also being switched. An image has now appeared proving the existence of a 64-core monster EPYC 7763that handles running 128 threads at once. The basic clock of this sample was 2.45 GHz, the Boost frequency then ends at about 3.55 GHz. This processor has a total of 2 MB of L1 data and the same amount of instruction cache (32 + 32 kB per core).

In the case of L2 cache, it is a total of 32 MB (512 kB per core) and L3 even has a huge capacity of 256 MB. The test samples ran in tandem, ie in a two-processor system with a total of 128 cores and the ability to run 256 threads at once. TDP consumption should be around 280 W. It is not yet clear when this processor will appear, but there is talk of launching before the end of this year.
