A Russian missile malfunctioned in mid-air and returned back to where it was launched from – Russia

Recently, a video appeared on social networks that demonstrates the shortcomings of some of the Russian equipment – in this case, it is an air defense system. The released footage showed the launch of a surface-to-air missile that, at least at first, accelerates into the sky, but then something goes wrong and the missile makes a U-turn and crashes into the place from which it was launched, causing a huge explosion.

According to the Sun newspaper, the footage is from the city of Alchevsk, in the Luhansk region, which is under the control of pro-Russian separatist forces.

According to local media, the missile was fired to shoot down a Ukrainian plane approaching the city.
