Moscow: A Russian military cargo plane carrying 15 people has crashed in Ivanovo, Moscow. Local media reported that all on board had died. The Ilyushin-2-76 plane crashed immediately after taking off from an air base in western Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the cause of the accident was an engine fire.

There were eight crew members and seven passengers on board. It is reported that no one could be saved. Footage of the plane crashing into flames has emerged.

In January, a similar IL-76 passenger plane crashed killing 65 people. It was alleged that Ukraine shot down the plane carrying 65 prisoners of war.
