Tampa Bay Lightning Russian defender Mikhail Sergachev got into a fight with an American player in the NHL regular season match with the Anaheim Ducks.
In the second period, Sergachev pushed Anaheim defender Max Jones into the side, after which a fight broke out between the hockey players.
Sergachev grappled with the American and struck him several blows to the head, after which they fell on the ice, the players were separated by the judges. Both players were penalized with five penalty minutes.
In the end, Tampa won the match 6-1.
Sergachev is a two-time Stanley Cup winner, bronze medalist of the 2019 World Championship. In 54 games this season, he scored seven goals and made 32 assists.
