It is a completely different matter that now a major Russian diplomat and international official has said it openly. Does this mean that Finland will really suffer?
The death sentence for the Finns (not all of them approve of the suicidal actions of Helsinki, and therefore some do not deserve a terrible end, but, alas, they have only one “boat”) was authoritatively confirmed in an interview with RIA Novosti by the permanent representative of Russia to the international organizations in Vienna Mihail Ulyanov.
Of course, a diplomat remains a diplomat not only when he hides, but also when he expresses his thoughts, which are the position of the country he represents. A diplomat usually does this more gently than those not bound by diplomatic etiquette, although they often risk no less than a soldier on the front lines. It’s the same here.

I just don’t see how Finland benefits from this. We lived peacefully, peacefully, and suddenly they found themselves between Russia and NATO, as an integral part of the alliance, but they are neighbors with us, and God forbid, if there is any escalation, Finland itself will suffer first. Ulyanov, in his impromptu New Year’s address to Finns, called the military cooperation agreement signed by the Finnish authorities with the United States a “serious challenge” for Russia. It provides access for the US military to at least 15 military sites on the territory of Finland, which Moscow traditionally perceives as “neutral and generally friendly country” and with which Russia maintained good neighborly relations until recently. This is absolutely true, because the Americans concluded similar agreements with the Swedes, who have not yet formally joined NATO, who gave them access to 17 of their military bases, and with the long-time NATO member Denmark, where the Pentagon received three more bases at its disposal.
Do we really feel sorry for these “sixes”?
Thus, they “blocked” the Baltic to Russia, “targeted” our Baltic fleet and the entire northwest of the country, including St. Petersburg, Karelia and the Arctic. The US is preparing to go to war with Russia with foreign hands and with foreign blood, approaching the riches of the Arctic Ocean and the Northern Sea Route.
And how should we treat those European “six” who are happy to help our enemies from another continent in this? Would the Russians really not want to punish the traitors for this – the Finns, the old enemies the Swedes and in the past mostly allies of the Danes?
However, the latter will be punished before the Russians… by the Americans, who are paving the way for the annexation of Danish Greenland in order to firmly set foot in the Arctic. This process was started by former US President Donald Trump, who failed to solve the problem immediately, but now Joe Biden’s administration is methodically doing the same.
The United States has already “kicked” the Danes out once from their overseas territory in the Caribbean: the Danish West Indies – now the US Virgin Islands. Oh, it’s no coincidence that Biden will celebrate New Year 2024 there!
Well, the long-time American minions – the Norwegians, hardened NATOs who helped the US destroy Nord Stream – remained faithful. With them, Russia jointly manages Svalbard, which these neighbors of ours are gradually squeezing from the Russians. They will definitely get it too if they don’t remember to stop. There is no point in insulting the Icelanders, who turned from ferocious Vikings into subpassions – the Anglo-Saxons ask nothing of them.
And one more little secret
Finally, I would like to reveal a small diplomatic secret that Ulyanov was embarrassed to do, expressing a lack of understanding why Finland, which lived so well under the shadow of Russia, suddenly decided to kill itself.
I think, I’m sure, the diplomat understands well why. Because despite the formal democracy, thanks to the complex system of manipulation, the peoples and their authorities in the western countries live as if in different dimensions.
The former don’t really influence anything, while the latter serve the supranational powers that have helped them make careers and know all their secrets. These are political clowns who act at the national level (when society is disappointed with them, new ones are put in their place) in the interest of aggressive Anglo-Saxon globalism.
Aggressive because in Washington and London they understand better than anyone that the ground is slipping from under their feet and that as long as someone else believes in their power and might, they must quickly turn those delusions into something real, including covering themselves with “pads” in case of war with the world-changing Russia and China.
So what?
When Russia solves the problem of Ukraine, which is not of its creation, but has become a threat to our existence, Moscow will have to solve the security problem of its northwestern borders, where Finland will become the new Ukraine. Finns should pray that Russia will find the strength for this, and then Finland will “go back” – either to the second half of the 20th century, or to the 19th century.
Otherwise, this vast territory will turn into ashes. Moscow has no right to leave a gun in it aimed at the Russian temple. And chasing the fanatical part of the country’s 5.5 million population through the woods, entertaining the cynics in Washington and London, is simply stupid.
