As Navalni explained in his application, a security guard comes to his bed every hour at the prison, so he has to wake up regularly.

Inclusion in the list of prisoners prone to fleeing deprives him of the right to uninterrupted sleep, the opposition explained.

There was no reason to include him in the preventive register, Navalni is sure.

A spokeswoman for the colony explained that Navalny was recognized as a prisoner prone to fleeing Moscow in the remand center “Matrosskaya tishina”, but later this status was extended to the colony.

Other prisoners have never complained of poor sleep, the spokeswoman said.

As early as March, Navalny complained of “insomnia torture”. Colony workers wake him up every hour at night to make sure he didn’t run away, the opposition said.

On March 31, Navalny went on hunger strike, demanding that doctors be allowed to visit him.

The hunger strike was stopped after a wave of protests and a subsequent medical visit.
