The Condor Rugby Club He was born in Jáchal just over five years ago. Since his first steps, he has had the first accompaniment of Minas Argentinas, with elements, balls and clothes. Subsequently, with a high level training and, now, with the construction of the field he is one of the few in San Juan that has a professional sprinkler irrigation system.
The works were inaugurated on Tuesday. In the coming days, the ground preparation and planting work will begin so that by the end of the year the ground can show off the characteristic green under the H that the players themselves have built and installed on the ground that the Jáchal Aeroclub has given it.
For this work, Minas Argentinas hired a company in Jáchal to carry out the plant design, soil preparation work and agronomic consultancy. Also the installation of the pipes, sprinklers and electronic controllers of the system. The same company will now take care of planting with Bermuda Grass, basic fertilizing and early cuts just to deliver the work to the club for use.
The total area to be irrigated covers just over 1,000 square meters. The sprinkler irrigation system will not only allow constant and uniform irrigation over the entire playing surface. It will also ensure more efficient use of water and help simplify maintenance activities throughout the property.
“This is a great achievement for our institution. Very few rugby fields in San Juan have this irrigation system and to have this technology on our property is a great joy,” said Jorge Meglioli, president of the Cóndor Rugby Club.
“It is an infrastructure that will improve the working conditions of athletes and that will last beyond the life of our depot,” said Marcelo Agulles, superintendent of community relations and communications at Minas Argentinas SA.
