The new version of the series, which Carter calls a “remount,” is a clear departure from The X-Files: Albuquerque project, an animated comedy that Carter was to produce in 2020. This series was to revolve around a ” office full of misfit agents investigating X-Files cases too wacky, ridiculous, or downright stupid for Mulder and Scully to care “.
