Huawei’s new foldable phone is off to a stellar start, which could herald the brand’s return to the global smartphone market.
A successful launch for the Huawei Nova Flip
Huawei introduced its Nova Flip foldable phone last week. Available in four colors (green, pink, white, and black), the Huawei Nova Flip comes in three versions:
- 12 Goes + 256 Goes at the price of 690 euros
- 12 Goes + 512 Goes at the price of 743 euros
- 12GB + 1TB for the price of 847 euros
The company announced that sales have exceeded 45,000 units within the first 72 hours of launch. This figure represents an increase of 85% compared to total sales of Huawei foldable phones in the same period last year.
Huawei Nova Flip Features
The Huawei Nova Flip is equipped with the processor Kirin 8000 and the operating system HarmonyOS 4.2 pre-installed. The international version of the phone is available with three storage options: 256GB, 512GB and 1TB, paired with 12GB of RAM.
The battery of 4 400 mAh is compatible with Huawei’s 66W Turbo 2.0 fast charging technology, enabling a full charge in 40 minutes.
Screens

- External screen: 2.14 inches480 x 480 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate
Camera
The phone has a dual camera on the back:

Design
The device has a thickness of 15,1 mm when folded and 6,88 mm (leather back version) when unfolded, making it thinner than competitors like the Xiaomi Mix Flip or Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip6.
