Akylbek Japarov introduced the new Minister of Education and Science to his colleagues
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov introduced the new Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kanybek Imanaliev, to his colleagues.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov noted that the country’s leadership has high hopes for the new head of the department.
“In the interests of the country, in the interests of the future of our children, you must make every effort to solve the set tasks aimed at improving the level and quality of education. Our children must receive the necessary knowledge in order to be successful and in demand in the labor market,” he stressed.
Akylbek Zhaparov noted that now annually 1% of the funds allocated to state bodies will be directed to research and development.
“This is about 5 billion soms annually. State bodies should be the customers of scientific research conducted by domestic scientists and research institutes, including those that are part of the structure of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. At the same time, it is necessary to reorganize the National Science Foundation, the efficiency of which is extremely low,” the Head of the Cabinet stated.
